A New Discovery: St Cyprian's Church
My latest find is St Cyprian’s Church in Marylebone, and it stopped me in my tracks.
Built in the early 20th century, St Cyprian’s is a breathtaking example of Arts and Crafts architecture, filled with warmth, craftsmanship, and detail. From the moment you step inside, there’s a sense of calm and grandeur — soaring arches, rich materials, stained glass filtering soft light across the space.
It’s one of those rare London churches that feels both monumental and intimate at the same time. Elegant without being cold. Impressive without being overpowering.
And instantly, I knew: this is a flea market venue.
Why Venues Matter So Much to Me
I’ve always believed that the venue must fit the vibe.
The objects we sell — vintage furniture, homewares, decorative pieces — deserve to be seen properly. They deserve space, light, and a setting that elevates them rather than fights against them.
When a venue is right, something magical happens:
the furniture looks better, the ceramics feel more special, the textiles glow. You can picture pieces in your home immediately — and suddenly, you have to take them home.
That’s the goal.
A beautiful venue doesn’t just house a market — it transforms it.

St Cyprian’s does exactly that. Its history, its craftsmanship, and its atmosphere create a backdrop that makes vintage feel alive rather than nostalgic — relevant rather than retro.

Finding venues like this is one of the great joys of what I do. London is full of extraordinary buildings hiding in plain sight — churches, halls, historic spaces — and when the right one reveals itself, it feels like a small victory.
St Cyprian’s is very special, and I can’t wait to bring one of our markets into this space and see it filled with beautiful things, wonderful traders, and people who appreciate design, history, and atmosphere as much as I do.
